Former Sen. Jesse Helms dies
To quote comedian George Wallace, anticipating this day, "Senator Jesse Helms died today, and it's about doggone time!!!"
There are plenty of good people whose political views differ from mine. There's nothing wrong with that. Even some of the current GOP mean well (no, really!), although that does seem to be a shrinking group. But the well-meaning shouldn't be confused with this nasty, bigoted asshole. If ever there was proof of the old line, "only the good die young," this is it.
Good riddance, evil old fucker.
