A few more London trip shots

Lacking much else worth blogging about right now, I'll share a few snapshots from the start of our weekend trip to London.

Our lovely MaxJet plane. BTW, we highly recommend this airline, if you're going to London!

The all-business class cabin

Marc's legs. Marc is 6'1" tall. Look at the room he has!

Inside London-Stansted Airport

Our tour guide from the first day in London

Not sure what these buildings are. I should have paid better attention! :)
Think these would cost much to rent/buy? (BTW, everything in London costs a fortune!)

I think these are embassies

World-famous Speakers' Corner

A shot of Marble Arch from the top of the tour bus

Location of the Tyburn Tree. Not really commemorating a tree, this was the location of gallows that were the last stop for literally thousands of people. This place of execution was in operation for literally centuries. If you're interested, you can learn more about it
here.

Thousands of executions? Well, that's a happy note to end the post (okay, maybe not...but that's what I've got for now). Have a good weekend!

London IS expensive. Speaker's Corner is busier on a Sunday (or it is Saturday?).

Cool pics. Business class would be sweet for me as well, as I too am 6'1. Everything else is terribly cramped!

Love these pictures - although next time you could save the hassle of having topost these and bring me with you instead.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the photo compliments, to those of you who left them (I'm too lazy to answer one by one). :)

Terry & Dan: we'd have brought you along, but we didn't know how to fill out the UK Customs "Landing Card". ;)

Epi: 6'1"? I like tall men (part of Marc's initial attraction for me). Can you get any more alluring?

Jere: We got the tickets on sale. Right after they started flying, they had a really good offer, so we bought tickets then. As for Stansted, it’s fine, but I can’t really compare, since I’ve never been through Heathrow.

Alan & Scott: She did have a look. What that look was we can debate, but she really was a good guide! :)
