The off-and-on ramblings of a Long Island guy (with help from his partner). There's no format, other than sharing what I feel like sharing.

Susie: I understand! Just wanted to offer the option, if you want. :)
TG: It's actually just a regular spider (maybe 3/4 of an inch long). I just used my macro lens and close-up flash units to get the shot. Not that I want to cuddle up with it, but I find it amazing how complex even little insects are. Makes you think of how complex the world is and how little we really see when we just look around us.
Uh...Tuna Girl, we have about 6 of these (most of the others are bigger than this one) who put up webs nightly around the outside of the house. You just have to be careful where you walk in the dark. :)

Seriously? In your backyard?
I'd be moving.
You're going to land Patrick back in the hosiptal if he sees this. ;-)

That's an awesome photo. Beautiful, yet menacing. Very nice.
tw: Thanks. It's really amazing how these little creatures appear when you get a really good look at them. They're something to behold!
Delicious!
Nice photo.
