Not that I had any plan to go to Kentucky

Some One of our best friends are is from Kentucky, but that doesn't do much for my feelings for Kentucky at the moment. Actually, I probably shouldn't condemn the whole state. Just the asshole governor, Ernie Fletcher, who went out of his way to strike protection of gays and lesbians from the state's affirmative action plan.

He went out of his way to kill an anti-discrimination provision. People like this defy understanding. Where do they come from? What's wrong with them? Why are they so full of hatred?

Asshole. You should write a letter expressing your displeasure.

Two other facts about Fletcher.
1. After 9/11, his airplane (the state's airplane) was traveling to DC and was nearly shot down for violating restricted airspace.
2. He is (allegedly) an intelligent man, having completed med school and everything!

About Kentuckians in general, many are like cats. They raise hell, too, you just can't catch them at it.

No, Jess, you have it all wrong. He is NOT filled with hate. He's filled with the spirit of Christian Charity, the famed virtue that's been responsible for an incomprehensible amount of war, suffering, and legalized murder.

Just goes to show you can take the hick out of the mountains but you can't take the mountain (of bullshit) out of the hick.
